Swift Waters(Wild Horse RPG)

[Pagan Waters]

Many years ago, humans set a herd of seven hundred horses free on a recently found island. The island was devoid of humans, and many other species, and they decided they wanted to create a purely wild breed of horse. They had at least two of most horse breeds, male and female, in hopes of preserving the breeds, although chances were they would almost always crossbreed. The humans dubbed the island Swift Waters, for the waterfall in the middle, and the speed of the rivers and streams. They left the horses, and allowed no human onto the island, unless they were shipping more horses to the island. For six years they horses lived in peace, becoming wilder and wilder. But then the leaders birthed a son, Starlight, who they declared the heir. He grew up, proud and strong, vowing to lead them gently and patiently. Unfortunately, one mare disagreed with his ways. Her name was Pagan Waters, and she challenged Starlight, wishing for a more aggressive, brutal rule. They fought hard, and eventually the lord won. Life went back to normal, but Pagan was banished to the South side of the Waterfall, and eventually the herd members began to disagree. Some felt Pagan had a good point, others were loyal to Starlight's peaceful ways, and others yet felt neither were correct. The herd split, the neutrals becoming wanderers, and the rest becoming loyal to their respective leaders. The lights soon found a Queen, and the darks a King. Now, any new equines must choose which side of the waterfall they will dwell on. What side will you choose?
