{{[hey eilz, would it be all right if i did increase the size of the font for the next post? Papyrus is a bit hard to read when its smallish like this. Its much, much easier when its larger.]}} xxx.Chianna.xxx The Horizon lady moved effortlessly through the foggy morning air, stifling hoof beats barely creating a small disturbance in the silence of the mountains. Cola banner flew proudly in the wind, strands of blond and red dancing merrily. Her eyes held no immediate emotion, yet a wisdom was present about her, an aura of matronly knowledge. The femme was neither of the joyful lights nor the sullen darqs, but rather the undecided, unbiased, neutral Horizon tribe, and she wouldn't have wished for anything else.
A twig cracked underneath bulky mass; her bodice shifted towards the east and the rising sun. A glance was thrown o'er the brown fae's wither; it caught the beauty of the moon, struggling with the sun for possession of the sky. And in the middle -she threw her gaze heaven wards- a solitary cloud, looking so serenely lonely she almost gasped. It was a perfect depiction of the three tribes. The sun-kissed lights under Lady Allura, struggling to fill the world with peace and happiness, joy and love. The moon-washed army of Darqness serving Lord Sor, fighting mercilessly to submerse the world in sorrow, to fill the world with fights. But (and Chianna was quite certain of this) neither would win, ever. Only the Horizon's, who had created a balance, a harmonious blend, could ever hope to unleash the secret of the scrolls and save their failing system. For was it not known that every day growing unrest was more and more visible between lights and darqs?
The vixen had decided long ago, long before she took her first look at all four seasons, to stay away from affairs of the lights and darqs and focus on bringing harmony to those who wished a peaceful life of yin and yang balance. Her mind was firmly made up- she was dedicated to creating a better existence for the Horizon Equines. And it was hear, deep in the mountainous terrain, that she finally halted, a smooth, fluid motion that resembled the water itself. The horse had stopped less than an inch away from a wide, deep and sudden chasm in the middle of the mountains. Her instinct had led her to this place; her religion had backed up instinct. Chianna had no reason to believe she had been led wrong, and no reason to believe she had been set straight. But she did have reason to believe- for better or for worse- she was soon to meet Lord Canyonne, Ruler of her tribe.
And she was ready.xxx...xxx

[ Well, I'll Be Counting The words Anyway, But I shouldn't really let you do it if others aren't allowed to ] xl..Echoes were all that remained o' Summer, that season that seemed to bring out th' happiness in all, nomatter what may o' occured at th' time. Th' leaves were no longer emerald an' lush, but greying an' dry. They were like withered hands o' an ancient being, th' limblike branches o' th' tree lifeless an' limp. Like ghosts they were, swaying eerily o'er th' banks o' pasture that were to be laid bare a couple month. All this was just fine to Canyonne..lx
xl..Th' scents were fresh with th' mixture o' pine an' rain drenched air, mingling t'gether to add a mosy smell to th' atmpshere. Canyonne breathed this in, an' was neither overjoyed nor discaring for th' satisfactory feeling it gave 'im. 'is attentions were turned instead to th' fine mare whom 'ad obviously 'eard 'e was looking for a companion forn life. 'e smirked for no reason to put, an' made 'is noble way down t'wards 'er. 'Is lithe postons were heavy an' took 'is frame moste brilliantly. 'e was a heavy set Gladiator, yet 'e moved agile an' swift. 'is chestnut petlage rippled as 'e strode, th' grey clouds fitting in with 'is temperament. For clouds were not good nor bad, but somehow undecided. That sumed 'im an' 'is followers up in one word. Reaching th' maiden, 'e paused, an' silence rang th' air like an inaudible bell, th' vibrations clear an' magestic. Such a force 'e was, son o' th' Horizon Gods, almost immortal to touch. 'Is dull pools lit up as 'e spoke to 'er, an' 'is lyrics were drawling an' bored sounding. They were simple lyrics, short an' to th' point, but were so obviously spoken from a Lords tongue..lx
Yes Mare. 'Ere I Be.

Almost before he opened his mouth she knew that Lord Canyonne knew why she was here. Her Quarter Horse frame seemed almost impossibly small compared to his mammoth form, and her own voice far less majestic than his. A fleeting despair caught hold of her tongue, temporarily making it unusable. He could have any Horizon mare there is. However, the knots were untied and again her tongue moved freely, bringing forth the golden asset of a smooth and silky voice that seemed to latch onto the airwaves and carry to all those willing to devour the tasteful aroma of fine speaking.
Ah, Lord Canyonne... I am Chianna. An auditionee, no doubt. Perhaps thee will join me in watching the pool. Quite brilliant, don't you think? Waves of gold, they are.
The fair lady was referring to how the rising sun caught the whitecaps just so and turned them into a milky-gold color, much as would be if you mixed milk and honey together. Chianna had been born with an artful tongue and had often found it useful in most situations, but now she wondered to herself if it made her seem uppity. Surely it was only her imagination, but did her words seem... pretentious? She had never once ever pretended to be anything more than what she was, and certainly did not want to start with one of three legends in all known equine history. Debating whether or not to try again, Chianna noticed that the Lord Canyonne was less imposing than he had been made to seem. She had almost allowed herself to be convinced, when she had started her climb only the last night, that what she was going to find would not even vaguely resemble a 'quine, but rather would be a demon, a thing called Man. Man, she had been told, was an awful thing with two legs and no pelt. Its mane was usually knotted, and it wore dead skins instead of fur. So she had not been at all prepared for the seemingly kind, humble and yes, quite handsome stallion that had made his presence beknownst to her. Perhaps the rumors weren't true after all?
Perhaps.

xl..Dark Tempest pools lingered on 'er momentarily, scanning 'er features like a picture int' 'is noble mind, considering 'er well made frame afore anythin' else. 'e blended in well with th' autumn atmosphere 'imself, th' chills in th' air whipping 'is raven tresses int' oblivion. No, 'e was not a Shadowed brute, nor a Light Gladiator, but 'e was a Horizon, 'e was th' past, present an' future o' th' state. This magestic thought seemed to riplole through 'is prominent spine, mystery focusing in 'is deciding hues as 'e replied rather bluntly..lx
Aye, Chianna.. th' flight o' th' great umber orb enchants me ev'ry time..
xl.. 'is tone was rather balnd an' listless as 'e looked at 'er bleakly, 'is pools not quite lively as yet. 'e seemed quite unimpressed standing there, not by Chainna, no no, but o' th' surroundings. 'e was used to th'm almost too much, an' seemed wishful for excitement in 'is life. 'is vocals on'y merely scratched th' atmopshere, making it 'ard to see whether 'e was being sarcastic or not. All that twas certain was this fae captivated 'im, 'e wanted to find more 'bout 'er. Lightening th' tone, 'e put 'is interest int' 'is rough speech..lx
What does ye think o' this kingdom.. ? Illuminated by beauty, makes me proud to be a Horizon sort..

xxx Chianna xxx
His words seemed dull and disinterested, and it was a bit sobering for the ecstatic but cool mare. Her ebon pools slurped in his masculine appearance, and also the deep comfort of his tonage. A perfect stag, by first appearances. Though for her as well, this was like an audition of him.
It pleased her slightly to know that small talk was going to be taken up, for small talk made things less revoltingly awkward for her. Sometimes she relished the feeling of discomfort, sometimes when she was in an especially shadowed frame of mind. But most of the time it was a hateful thing, a thing to be despised and prevented.
Well, of we go then. Contemplating shortly on how to respond to this artful speech, and again pleased with Canyonne that he was able to provide an intellectual conversation, Chianna responded, quite casually, as though she were merely speaking to a friend of hers. It was in her way to respect those in need of respect, but when it was not in dire need of requirement... t'was it not better to make friends than masters?
Aye, sir, aye. An especially marvelous place to be, for on my travels I have encountered neither sweeter grass that grows nor sweeter aqua that flows than here, right here in these very mountain's bases. Quite delicious, a delicacy really. Surely, Canyonne, thee have tried them before?
Her tone was not meant to be prying, nor accusing, but merely her way of finding common ground. As mentioned before, Chianna was a skilled conversationalist, and her favourite thing to do with this tongue of gold was make people feel as though they had a connection with her. She had started doing that with Canyonne, unknowingly, the minute she opened her mouth. Judging where his pools traveled, where they lingered the most. She thought he may appreciate the arts.
She hoped.
