Alright, my consiounce got to me. I'm getting to be as elusive as my character...
The binary system, aka base two, is the "language" of the computer. There are two values, Zero and One. They are called "bits," and a one means that the bit is on, zero means off. Eight bits, one byte, can be arranged into groups of eight, creating 256 values for our computer. Using an ASCII chart (I'll give you a link in a moment,) the values are graphed and assigned letters. It's BINARY!!!!!!! YAY!
PS. The government agency uses codes of up to thirty-two bits! Our computers aren't "crypted" like that, but it is good to know.
